Yep, streaming has basically become cable.
Thereās a great interview with Scott Ryan of Mr Inbetween fame in The Age today - not sure the link will work:

thatās a great article. And he likes one of my fave classical pieces, seems so incongruous!
Apart from that episode, i found the rest of Season 1 a bit tough to get through⦠so grim.
But Season 2 did a major change in tone and the show was much better for it. Like Peos said, Season 2 is fantastic.
Seems like it has potential, but Iām not that impressed with the comic contestants. I liked the two relatively unknown ladies on each end.
But Iāve had enough of Julia, Jimmy and that red headed guy, just seen them too much, Iād rather see some left field quirky comics as contestants.
taskmaster uk only got up because it had names in season 1-5, people dont care about comedian 5 theyve never heard of before
season 1 Roisin Conaty, Tim Key, Romesh Ranganathan, Frank Skinner and Josh Widdicombe
season 2 Doc Brown, Richard Osman, Jon Richardson, Katherine Ryan and Joe Wilkinson.
season 3 Dave Gorman, Al Murray, Rob Beckett, Sara Pascoe and Paul Chowdhry
season 4 Hugh Dennis, Joe Lycett, Lolly Adefope, Mel Giedroyc and Noel Fielding
season 5 Aisling Bea, Bob Mortimer, Mark Watson, Nish Kumar and Sally Phillips
Season 2 would have been a sweet watch.
mcgregorās popularity baffles me. that said, the āsex grand finalā line was funny
guaranteed thereāll be 500 low profile comedians absolutely begging to be on this show, but itāll be ch10 insisting on some with profile. bit of a necessary evil i guess.
sam campbell on this show would transform the entire nation
mcgregor needs to go, people that giggle like sex predators should be binned

Thanks for posting- I copied and pasted the link and it worked.
It is a great article with an insightful look into Scott Ryan past and present - a life of highs and lows. A truly interesting human being.
I havenāt seen the first ep yet, but I kind of anticipate that Nina Oyama and Danielle Walker will be the two most suited to this. Luke McGregor could go either way, but Julia Morris and Jimmy Rees just seemed like the mandatory ābig nameā signings.
Yellowstone worth watching?
Wow. Just watched first 3 episodes of The Last of Us. Episode 3 was not at all what I expected - brilliant.
Linda Ronstadtās Greatest Hits was one of my favourite albums. I will definitely have to add it to the playlist now.
Iāve just watched episode 2. Itās good! Certainly not looking at your spoiler! Looking forward to episode 3.
Just finished His Dsrk Materials on Foxtel.
Loved the books. The series was a great representation of some very complex ideas.
Fantasy more than science fiction. 3 awesome seasons
Just discovered recently that S3 of Party Down is dropping on Stan Feb 24 with most of the original cast returning apart from Lizzy Caplan it seems.
Been a long time between drinks since the last season but I reckon itāll be well worth the wait.

Yellowstone worth watching?
Literally started watching this week and itās been really good (6 eps in).
Itās a bit like Succession except the family owns land, and itās modern day cowboys, ranches and Indian reservations, etc. lots of great sweeping Montana landscapes interlaced with political intrigue and corporate power, etc.
5 seasons told me it must have gone alright.
Iām up to season 4 of Yellowstone and Iām really enjoying it. Coming from a farming/country background itās funny how little farm work actually goes on.
Also the tie ins from earlier generations are really good. 1883 was a great series and Iām keen to knock over 1923.
Love the first 3 seasons. 4 was okay. Havenāt felt the need to dive into 5 yet.
Yep, just watched it! A fantastic episode. Certainly from Left field! Great television. We know what this show is about and Iām sure there will be plenty of episodes with shock value but they will find it hard to top that Iām sure.
And just out of interestā¦for those who know or have played the computer gameā¦do you already know what happens in the end!?
