US politics - the new orange wave (Part 7)

A lot of us have…but the ones who start the wars…the politicians and generals…they don’t do the fighting (and dying) so they don’t care.

It’s all about power for them.

There should be a rule for starting a war…if you start it ( as in the politicians & generals), then you fight it from the front line.

I doubt that too many would be so keen then.

And bonus points for making sure that their sons/daughters are right beside them.

It includes the stuff skunks spray.

Old men with sagging dic ks will always find young men to readily go to war for them.

It is the way of the killer ape.

The only reason they are doing this is that some Republicans will not sign onto the tax cuts without reducing spending or raising the debt ceiling.

They are creating a song and dance about every little thing so the holdouts can go to their voters and show them all the money that’s been saved, and that’s why they voted for the tax cuts.

They don’t care what they cut as long as they get to pass the Tax cuts and be able to grift as much as possible with little oversite.

R’s won’t even care if they rehire them all once the TAX cuts are through.

And kiss the self proclaimed king’s backside.

Turns out it was a dogwhistle this whole time.

Who could have seen this coming?

Not all DEI hires are being shat on from a great height.

Donald Jnr, Eric and Ivanka seem very secure in their positions.

So amusing the DEI talk when so many heavily unqualified people are in this administration.

The Dan Bongino is so incredibly insulting to FBI and law enforcement.

Not sure the damage can be undone after 4 years of this stupidity

Bloody hell, this is frustrating to listen to

Not sure if anyone has seen that the US Army sang at the Governors’ Ball (hosted by Trump).

And decided to sing a song from Les Miserables - video is pretty amazing.

MAGA supporters saying they’re leading the revolution but I have a differing view on who that song was directed at.

M my god what an idiot.

As to savings in staff cuts and USAID, expect some rubbery figures. There would need to be big payouts to sacked staff. USAID freeze is currently time limited ( pending action to abolish USAID as an agency) with much of the work undertaken by private contractors . The US cannot get back its aid contributions to the UN ( they are frozen in UN accounts).
There will be a need for additional staff and holding centres when the so called illegals are rounded up, including an upgrade at Guantanamo.
Estimates of revenue from tariff hikes are also likely to be rubbery.

Chalmers is off to USA to try to secure exemptions for our exports from tariff hikes.
In addition to our bilateral trade deficit, Chalmers could cite our AUKUS payments and a new foreign investment - a US private company taking over our all our migrant detention centres from Serco ( meanwhile Serco employees have gone on strike because of uncertainty of their continuing employment and leave owing from Serco)

Well he does want to reform the Secret Service, saying the golf course would-be shooter should never have gotten that close.

I for one welcome the maga-management of the Secret Service. I’m sure they’ll have just as much success on that golf course while cosplaying and eating filet-o-fishes.

Can Jim also tell trump that we’re putting up the rent on their bases to counter the effects of tariffs.
