I take it was the son that didn’t arc up at his coverage of the bushfires and those “evil” greens that opposed bushfire management
That’s what I wrote yesterday but you posted against it!
not me ; maybe i misread it. I loved 1972 to 1975 in terms of great ideas, great policy and meaningful actions. Too numerous to list, but farking amateurs when it came to Leadrship and governing. Only did realise it of ocurse in hindsight.
Fake news.
He started off on the left.
I’m more concerned with where he ended up. And what he’s done since he got there.
No member of government had previous experience in government, no public servant had experience under a Labor Government. Both learnt their lessons, with Labor warning public servants that they would need to be reprogrammed to serve under a Hawke Government ( although there was still an element of mistrust)
When Howard and Kennett came in, just about every Departmental Head was sacked.
Trump squandered the transition period and by draining the swamp with his Presudential appointment powers, had little to no expertise at his disposal - and what he did retain, cut them out.
Sure Big A, that is all true and those mandarins in Canberra were so set in their ways, but the Ministers were a bunch of cowboys. Their hearts were in the right place but their brains were not thinking that well.
This weekend the US will hit 100k deaths due to COVID.
This is now. Well, apart from the to-be-expectedness of that awful fact, what a shocking swing and what an ugly looking course. Buy some lessons and a lawnmower ya tub of chicken gut. And his new blonde at the podium is spruiking where his salary is being donated while
President Donald Trump’s golf hobby has now cost Americans an estimated $115 million in travel and security expenses ― the equivalent of 287 years of the presidential salary he frequently boasts about not taking.
Why aren’t they going after him for this, it’s egregious rorting surely?
Had to read to the end of this to understand that the ‘shaming’ was actually of people wearing masks, not people refusing to. This repub governer who has not insisted on masks as essential is calling for empathy.
Freedumb
This is now accepted and normal for the position of leader of the free world.
Good thing they’ve got no competition as a super power.
We’re sweet.
They should start reporting on Trump’s golf scores. A sport-starved public would love it. They could even update us on his handicap.
There’s no way he doesn’t have a monkey placing his ball somewhere advantageous after each shot. The turd doesn’t even wait to see where it lands, then walks off on his playing partners before they even tee up. That’s all you need to know about the character
With that swing? Maybe on the front 9…
it is not a mystery we know the death rate is 1% or thereabouts if under control. If we went for herd immunity it would be much higher as the health system would not be able to cope. We are talking in excess of 250,000 deaths not sure why you would pluck 10,000 from nowhere and yes you said it MIGHT be higher but really 10,000!!!
6 degrees of separation and you would definitely know someone who died unnecessarily. I don’t care about the economic cost I am never going to say to someone I know I am willing to sacrifice your life so some others can make a few dollars.
As for the economic cost, there will be modelling but of course depends on who does the modelling. I certainly wouldnt be going anywhere under herd immunity, not willing to take the risk or kill others. I assume the economic cost would be higher if we didnt lock down. The fear of getting the virus could create more disruption, not to mention we dont know if you have immunity if you have had the virus.
I dont think there is any doubt when you have a pandemic you lock down fast and hard, those that didnt are paying the price. There will be other pandemics and the lesson has to be this.
Some carmakers in trouble.
