VFL - Round 5 vs Cats @ MCG, 11:50am Sunday 5 May 2019 - on TV

Getting in early given it’s a double header at the MCG.

Gates 1, 3, and 6 open at 11am.

Radio 3DJR will be based in bay P12.

The last time we played a VFL/AFL combo vs Geelong was at Docklands in 2015 and we won by 92 points.

It was awesome. Highlights included a Conor-LAV goal early (Conor kicked at least four goals, gave goals to others, and had some shocking misses). Good coverage of it in the links below.

Televised or streamed?

Might have other things on in 910 years

Looks like it’s a good chance to be televised. The time slot on channel 7 at 11.30-2.30 says “to be advised”

Looks like a 9.30am start on the beers for me then!

Nothing says country football more than a double header.

Life as it should be.

Start at 23 minutes into the first video to see McKenna being a freak (though his first goal was nice too).

LAV was OK, too.

Think that was actually my first game as Prez. Misty water coloured memories…

Darcy Parish is named in the ones.

so? There are 5 other blokes that have been as well.

This is normal for sunday games

Liam Read on the bench is a 202cm ruckman. Surely he wouldn’t be needed with Draper in the ruck and Sibbald as backup?

Last time I went to a curtain raiser was v Geelong 2015 at Etihad and that game convinced me we had to draft Tippa no questions asked.

McKenna had a ripper up forward aswell iirc.

What’s happened to Connellan?
