Violence Against Women

Hmm, doesn’t seem to stop Paparazzi in some of those situations.

Back in the 90's a bloke did a similar thing to Mmi McPherson and came off a little the worse for wear. Broken legs I believe.

Doesn’t she have a Kate Ritchie level video floating around?

Single dad who’s kids attend the same school as mine does alright for himself with a few of the single mums at school. The sex (as far as I’m aware) has been consensual but it turns out he took some shots of one of ladies (we know her on a casual basis, say hello when passing) whilst in a vulnerable state and has been sharing it presumably without her knowledge or approval. So far only a handful of people are aware of the existence of these images but it won’t be long before they become widely available to everyone.

The question is, is this illegal? should she know? and who’s responsibility is it to tell her?

At the very least its an outrageous violation of her privacy. Poor form from single dad.

The leagalities or otherwise are irrelevant.

Morally it’s reprehensible.

You absolutely must tell her. It’s the right thing to do, not the easiest but then the right thing usually isn’t.

Have you spoken to this guy and told him the error of his ways?

Reckon the other Ladies he has been with would not be pleased either.

Sounds like a ■■■■ bloke.

The charge would be, “use a telecommunications device to menace or harass.”
Permission would be the only way the Slime could get away with it.

Of course it’s illegal.

But is it? What if she consented to him taking the images. They’re then his images to do presumably what he wants with.

Yeah, not sure it is actually illegal, should be. Some shitstain took a photo of my wife breastfeeding our baby on the train, sent it to some website which appeared to be nothing more than a medium for pathetic shitstains to take unflattering photos of people on public transport and then writing nasty, mean spirited captions to go along with it.

Spoke to the police about it because we were actually able to identify the shitstain, police told us that by leaving your house as far as the law is concerned you pretty much consent to anyone photographing you no matter the situation.

Piece of dirt…

Yours was of a public activity in a public place. Not even vaguely similar.

Awesome and thank you Judge Paul Muscat! Your words are true and I hope that it can make some difference.

Lived in Camberwell, did she?

Yep. She also has a heavily connected old man. Suffice to say, things were dealt with.

Yeah he got bashed. Didn’t stop the vid getting out though. Quick Google and it’s easily accessible…

Fairly ordinary camera work though.

Domestic violence, this time the other way sadly…

And another:

Fairfield woman arrested over man’s death in Richmond flat

A woman has been arrested over the death of a 62-year-old man in Richmond in Melbourne’s inner-east last month.

Homicide Squad detectives arrested a 41-year-old Fairfield woman this morning, and she is now being questioned.

The man’s body was found at a flat in Elizabeth Street at Richmond on November 8.

I am super impressed with those moral outragers, the media, in their stance over violence against women in society in the Dustin Martin discussion. Let’s see what Caroline Wilson has to say about this ■■■■■■■’s unprovoked attack on a women due to him being “blind drunk”.

"Clearly, if she decides to take the matter further - which she had not been planning to do - then Dustin could be in trouble with the police.
“You can’t threaten to stab someone, even if it’s a chopstick.”

That’s laying it out there, really putting him in his place and making a stand against violence. Well done!

Oh great. Another outlier for men’s rights activists to get worked up over.

I’m sure his lawyer will appeal and reduce his sentence then after 3 years the parole board will let him out.

Images of a bloodied Ashlee Savins have been shared thousands of times

WARNING: Graphic images.

A TEENAGE girl who was left battered and ■■■■■■ after an alleged fight with her boyfriend has had graphic photographs of her injuries shared on Facebook amid claims of inaction from police.

The shocking images show blood dripping off 19-year-old Ashlee Savins’ face, with it smeared from the top of her nose to her throat, and her front tooth chipped.

They were shared online by her flatmate Ellie Sutton who was disgusted by what she says was an initial lack of action by police.

The incident happened at Oxley Park in western Sydney early on Saturday morning.

Ms Sutton said police initially interviewed both Ms Savins and her boyfriend, Justin Toro, age 21, but then informed Ms Savins they could take no action.

“Police have now told her they are not going to take matters further because he told them she ‘fell on her face’ and ‘it’s her word against his’ and there is insufficient evidence … and she has a text message from him pleading with her not to tell anyone,” she wrote on Facebook.

“This is NOT acceptable. St Mary’s police station need to step their game up. There is a reason this country has a domestic violence epidemic.”

The confronting images have been shared thousands of times.

Ms Savins provided officers with medical reports, including one from a dentist who said injuries to her teeth were not caused by a fall.

However, she said that her case only started to move once police were flooded with complaints by angry members of the public.

“I called the station and they [the police officer] said ‘Sorry, we can’t press charges without substantial evidence.’ I got very upset,” Ms Savins told Fairfax Media.

She told police of an exchange of private messages on Facebook where her Mr Toro purportedly asked her not to tell anyone what happened.

“The police still said nothing could be done. They said I could submit [the messages] as evidence and they’d look at them but can’t guarantee anything further will be done,” Fairfax reported.

The messages appear to show Mr Toro asking Ms Savins what she was going to do, and if she was going to “forgive” him.

“Ashlee please don’t tell anyone I can’t get done for this I’ll lose everything,” he sent Ms Savins in a private message on Facebook.

“You have no one to blame but yourself,” Ms Savins replied.

“ok ashlee. do i acept [sic] you feel you didn’t contribute to this in any way? maybe not allowing me to vent [sic],” he responded.

Ms Sutton has since told the hundreds of people who commented on her Facebook page that police were now taking further action.

“We’ve just spent the last few hours at the police station. Thanks to increased pressure due to this post going viral the police are finally taking this matter more seriously. Hopefully now he will be charged,” she wrote.

It is understood that Mr Toro deactivated his Facebook account since the pictures were shared.

A NSW Police spokesman said: “Police are investigating the full circumstances surrounding an alleged domestic assault that occurred about 12.45am on Saturday, December 12 at an address in Oxley Park.

“Both parties have been formally interviewed and follow-up inquiries are continuing with the investigation.”
