Just make sure the coordinator of the work doesn’t mark your job as completed until its actually completed. if things dont feel right, get your insurer to provide you the builders account manager email.
edit: also throw dignity out the window, insurance builders deserve headaches
Have had one before but on the opposite side of this fancy bit about the entrance. Sort of where 2 / 3 channels all meet up. So the overflow right now goes into the ceiling and comes through.
When the ceiling in my pantry collapses due to heavy rain and find out about it when I get home and puppy is all wet because he thought it was fun to check it out. FFS.
Fun fact, the Australian standard that those products was beefed up a few years ago, hopefully that goes some way to improving the quality of those products.
Everybody, check these things on the reg. Any sign of rust on the ss braids and they need to be changed asap. As soon as strands start breaking you’re in deep ■■■■. This is a hard one, but avoid keeping corrosive chemicals in cupboards where they are kept, that’s another big issue with them.
In NSW, building standards mean you have to have drains in the floors of all wet areas, not usual or mandatory in Victoria.
But after a similiar experneince to yours some years ago, we now have drains in all bathroom, laundry and kitchen floors. Plumber thought we were crazy but drying out a house, going through insurance claims and replacing carpets, flooring and walls is not much fun.
