Exactly we wilted and dropped out heads and the comments in the press from Langford and Caldwell comes across as whining and soft. We need to be harder that that and come back. It’s annoying and frustrating and I do think it impacted the momentum and result but still we need to be tougher.

Langford perhaps, but Caldwell is far from soft. He was our toughest, hardest-working player by a long stretch throughout the whole game. Others might have given up after the biassed umpiring in the Third, but he never did ; he just worked all the harder.

The commentary in the second quarter of our VFLW final (when there was 7 shockers against us in 9 minutes) was worse. Massive victim-blaming, and clearly premeditated based on Friday rather than reacting to what was actually happening in front of her.

Yup.
They are the first to complain but the first to do it as soon as they get the opportunity happens also with the deliberate oob .
Same goes for high free kicks, which has absoutlely flooded the game recently.
Everyone complains about them but now 75% of players drop their knees as soon as they see contact coming.

Give us another 4 goals, plus deny them free kicks in their F50. They’d have been 8+ goals down at 3/4 time in the wet and no way to come back.
